Potty training can feel like a big milestone for little ones and their parents! With 3 kids four and under, we have been doing a lot of potty training! We have tried quite a few different methods, but most kids love a classic sticker chart! Whether your family is just getting started or needs a little extra encouragement, this free printable potty training chart makes the process both fun and motivating. 🙂 I’ve included a bonus affirmations chart to remind your child they are doing a great job every step of the way. It really does help kids feel confident when they are starting to use the potty! Plus, it’s definitely a conversation starter in your bathroom. I have had several adults tell me how encouraged they felt in our bathroom.
This free printable potty chart includes an option to print on a yellow or white background.
Why Use a Potty Training Chart?
Seeing visual progress can make a big difference in potty training! We have tried little treats, like getting an m&m each time they go potty, but that has never worked for us long term. Getting to see a visual reminder is so motivating for toddlers at this age!
Using a potty training chart gives structure. It isn’t easy to forget because it is right there in your bathroom. Plus, what toddler doesn’t love stickers?
This printable affirmations chart can be printed with a white or yellow background. Both are included in the free pdf bundle!
How the Affirmation Chart Helps
Along with tracking progress, words of affirmation matter deeply. The affirmations chart is filled with short positive phrases that help kids feel confident with this new skill they are learning! This is especially helpful if you have a child who is having a hard time getting it. All of these affirmations are helpful to remember for more than just potty training! We say “I can do hard things!” as part of our daily affirmations (Printable coming soon!)
Some examples are:
I can do this!
I can listen to my body!
Accidents happen, but that’s ok! I can try again! (This one is seriously so helpful!)
God helps me to be brave! (This one is not on this chart, but it is such a good one!)
This potty chart is the level up! It has more spaces and spots for #2s. The yellow version is included in the bundle as well.
How to Use the Chart
Print the charts and hang them where your child can see them easily.
Let your child place a sticker or color in the box each time they use the potty.
Read the affirmations together to help build confidence!
